Welcome to S.M College

S.M.College, Bhagalpur, is a foremost institution of fame and repute. It holds a prominent position in the field of higher education for women in Bihar. The sapling which was planted in the premises of Mokshada Girls School, Bhagalpur by Dr. Sharda Vedalankar on 15th of August, 1949, has now blossomed into a premier Women’s College of T. M. Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur and has celebrated its golden jubilee in 1999. In 2004 the College has been Accredited by NAAC team and graded as B+. It has already made a niche in women’s education and is forging ahead from multiple successes. (NAAC certificate attached).

Principal Message

Change is the law of life. Generally, man has to change with the metamorphic cycle of Nature to justify the grand ideal of “Survival of the Fittest.” Similarly, we have to transform ourselves with the changing necesitities of life. It is fortunate to exist in the 21st century but it is wiser to adopt new technological methodology to usher in an era of exotic and nostalgic ICT amenities and let fabulous change happen through innovative explorations in the wonderful world of E. resource.

It’s my pride privilege to initiate dynamic renovation/upgradation of S. M. College, Bhagalpur website to air far reaching transformation that this premier women’s college of the Eastern India is witnessing since last two years and enable the college family to get more friendly with the world outside by adding new scopes and opening new windows of knowledge.

Our Facilities

Library

The college has multi storey library building equipped with a large collection of books. The college library has reading room, RO water , Computer and xerox facilities. There is more than 70,000 books.

Language Lab

We have built a fully functional language lab, which is very much helpful in the personality development of the students in speaking & learning various languages.

Smart Class

We have provided smart classes so that students could learn more effectively.

Sports Facilities

College has very dedicated sports cell, equipped with all facilities and infrastructure, to provide best experiences outside of the class.

Gymnasium

We have built a gym which has various workout station so that studnents could relax properly and adopt active lifestyle

Wifi Campus

The campus is fully wifi covered, students can login as guest or get authentic password to use the facility in the college premises.

Advanced Labs

The college has dedicated labs of Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology , Computer, Language and counting.

We have 8 massive hostels which are fully equipped with facilities and also the best part is that these are one of most secured hostels in town.

Our FEATURE LIST

S.M. College is famous for quality education and unblemished conduct of examinations and good results. Over Seven Thousand students study in different faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce and various U.G.C. Sponsored Vocational Courses BCA, OM&SP and BBA, Functional Hindi and Simple Spoken Sanskrit, right from intermediate to graduate level. Recently under Bihar Entrepreneurship Development Programme N.T.T., Food Preservation and Food Processing, Health and Hygiene, Beautician Course, Arts and Craft Courses have also been introduced.
